Energy Conversion and Management

There are two variants of the program Energy Conversion and Management.

  • A program ECM-S, which lasts three semesters and has a total of 90 Credit Points (C). The program ECM-S starts in the summer semester, which fits to graduates from bachelor programs with a duration of seven semesters (210 C). The ECM-S program shall start for the first time in the summer 2011, following the launch of the Bachelor Degree Program Energiesystemtechnik / Energy System Technology at University of Applied Sciences Offenburg.
  • A program ECM-W, which lasts four semesters and has a total of 120 C. The program ECM-W starts in the winter semester. The ECM-W program is highly recommended to students from abroad because of the expanded possibilities to gain practical experience.

The two variants differ by one module, which is the so-called Scientific Project (ECM-06). The Scientific Project is a research project of about five to six months duration. The Scientific Project is preferably performed at an enterprise of the energy sector. Alternatives are research institutes, universities or HS Offenburg. Within the Scientific Project the students shall gain practical experience in the energy sector on a scientific level. German students shall preferably perform their Scientific Project abroad, whereas students from foreign countries should choose locations in Germany.

Other features:

Internationally Acknowledged Degree
Accredited by the German Accreditation Agency ASIIN in 2003
Exchange programs within several foreign partner universities
Up to date, innovative trend setting
Student's accommodation and sport facilities, cultural program

The program has been financially supported by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), which emphasizes the place of the program at the forefront of international higher education in Germany.
